Totally Insulated Construction
Hot Spring Spas use multiple layers of high-density, closed-cell polyurethane foam, like a commercial freezer. Closed-cell foam is water repellent, while less expensive, open-cell foam can absorb water, which reduces its insulating value with Totally Insulated Construction.
Exclusive Insulated Cover
While many spa manufacturers purchase covers from outside suppliers, Hot Spring makes its own covers for a customized fit. Using an exclusive "shoe" in the cover hinge that forms a tight seal, each cover locks in the heat with 1.5 or 2 lb. foam insulation. The covers are made of durable marine-grade vinyl and are tapered for water run-off. They feature child-resistant safety locks and are UL classified in accordance with ASTM safety standards.
